The January security update has already reached dozens of Galaxy phones and the South Korean giant continues to add more devices to the list as the days go by. The latest entrance to Samsung’s January 2022 security patch list is the Galaxy M31, which is receiving the update in India.
The January update for Galaxy M31 is rolling out over-the-air (OTA) with the firmware version G781BXXS4DVA2/ G781BODM4DUL7/ G781BXXU4DUL7. As it is a minor security patch update, you don’t need to spend a big chunk of your internet data. It weighs just 195MB in size.
Galaxy M31’s latest update incorporates the January 2022 security patch, which includes fixed for dozens of vulnerabilities related to system security and privacy. The update might also include general bug fixing and system stability improvements.
Samsung Galaxy M31 users in India have started picking up the latest OTA update. Those who are still in the queue should manually look for new updates via Settings >> Software Updates >> Download and Install.
