Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite receives February 2024 Security Patch Update

It’s been around four years since the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite was released and came with Android 10 (OneUI 5.1) out of the box. The handset has already received its last major Android 13 OS update but the OEM is still pushing security patch fixes to this model. Currently, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite receives February 2024 Security Patch Update that includes security improvements overall.

The latest patch update to the Galaxy Note 10 Lite brings the firmware version N770FXXS9HXA3 for the European and Asian markets right now. It’s arriving through the OTA for most of the carrier variants and the unlocked carrier variants will soon receive the particular update.

The newest February 2024 security patch update includes a total of 72 security fixes and almost 61 fixes applicable to the core Android OS. Whereas the rest of the 11 fixes are useful to Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablet devices.

It looks like there are three fixes present in the latest security patch which are marked as critical. But the rest are pointed as high risk. For Samsung Galaxy devices, there are around seven high-risk fixes present and four moderate-risk vulnerabilities have been spotted.

Even though the handset won’t get the latest Android OS version in the future, these latest security patch updates will at least ensure that there will be minimum risk of security risks. So, if you’re using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite, you should receive the OTA update notification at your end pretty soon.

However, if you’re unable to receive OTA notifications, you can directly go to Settings > Software Update > Check for updates. If available, tap on Download and Install. Wait for the update to get installed and then reboot the Galaxy Note 10 Lite device to apply changes.

In case, you’re unable to receive the software update, make sure to follow this Samsung stock firmware installation guide manually.

Luckily, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite devices will continue receiving the latest security patch updates for another year which is a good thing for the existing users. However, the frequency of the security update releases may slow down. But we don’t think existing users will mind that anyway.
