Samsung Galaxy S20 March 2024 Update Arrives in the US with Critical Security Fixes

The Galaxy S20 launched back in 2020, came with Android 10 out of the box as a premium segment smartphone. Well, it’s been almost four years since the device was released and Samsung is still pushing the security patch updates to these older models officially. That’s a great sign for the existing Galaxy S20 owners to cope with the potential security risks. Now, the Samsung Galaxy S20 March 2024 update has been rolled out in the US that brings critical security fixes.

This new March 2024 security patch update has already arrived on so many Galaxy devices throughout this month. Now, it’s time for the Samsung Galaxy S20 series in the USA region irrespective of the carrier-locked and unlocked variants such as Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra. It usually brings the system security and stability improvements.

Talking about the latest March 2024 security update, there are more than 35 critical & high levels of CVEs from Google and 9 Samsung-specific security exposures have been fixed which were affecting multiple One UI apps and core services. Though this isn’t a major update in terms of new features and changes, users will experience more stable performance than before.

If you’re having a different variant, you may have to wait for a couple of days more to receive the OTA update.

Now, if you’re interested in installing the OTA update, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the update and wait for it to complete. Once done, reboot your Galaxy S20 series device to change effects.
