Samsung has released the March 2024 security update for unlocked models of the Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra in the United States. This update is tagged with build version G98xU1UES8HXC1. Last week, the factory locked models of the Galaxy S20 series received the update.
The update is currently being rolled out as an airborne OTA. It promises to improve device security and stability. It’s highly recommended to update your smartphone to the latest security patch available.
The March patch addresses over 45 vulnerabilities discovered by Google and Samsung, improving security against potential threats. It also includes general bug fixes and performance optimizations for a smoother user experience.
Galaxy S20 owners can check for and install this update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Keeping devices updated with the latest security patches is recommended for optimal security and performance.
In case, you’re unable to receive the update notification, go through the Samsung stock firmware download and installation guide to manually flash the latest software version, depending on your device model. Do remember one thing though, flasing firmware manually involves a very high risk of bricking your device, so we recommend waiting for the OTA update to come.
