Sprint LG V20 Android 8.0 Oreo LS99720a July 2018 Security Patch (OTA Update): The Sprint LG V20 has received a major update. This time the device has been updated to the much awaited Android 8.0 Oreo. Sprint has started rolling out latest July 2018 security patch update for LG V20 via OTA. This Android 8.0 Oreo update was previously reported by some Korean users.

The OTA has been rolled out in the US  and only available for Sprint users. This update comes with Google’s July 2018 security patch update which was released by Google in July. The update comes with software version LS99720a.

The update brings some bug fixes which were available in the previous build. It also brings stability and performance improvements. Thus, you should download and install the update to your Sprint LG V20 which will come as an OTA update to your phone. It is a major update as it carries a new updated Android Os. It comes with Build number: OPR1.170623.032.

As we have mentioned it before, this is the Oreo update so all the Android Oreo features like Autofill, picture-in-picture, and notification dots have been added to this build. Along with all these new features LG has implemented a new user interface to its launcher which is cleaner than before and looks fresh.

Security patch updates are very important for Android devices as they come with many fixes of security issues which keep the device safe from malware attacks.

You can manually check for the update from Settings > General  > About Phone  > Update Center.If there is no update showing on your device, then wait for few days for the update to come to your device as it is being released phase-wise manner.
