It has arrived in the USA region for all three Verizon carrier-locked Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra models. If we look at the firmware version, the Verizon Galaxy S20 series receives G981VSQS8HXC1, G986VSQS8HXC1, and G988VSQS8HXC1 respectively.
We all know that the March 2024 security update brings more system stability and a lot of security fixes to protect devices from getting hacked or attacked. More than 40 security vulnerability fixes have been addressed in this March 2024 security update where around 37 security fixes have been done by Google itself for improving system performance. As there is no major system changes or new features have been added in the March 2024 security update, you can expect a smaller update file size than usual. Verizon carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy S20 series device units will receive the OTA update notification in batches. So, there is no need to worry about it. You can go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Make sure to follow the on-screen prompts to install the software update and wait for it to complete.
Once done, your handset should reboot automatically. if not, try rebooting your device to apply changes. However, if you’re not receiving the update notification even after waiting for a few days, you can follow the Samsung stock firmware installation guide to manually flash the latest firmware version as per the model and variant.
