Verizon Galaxy Tab S5e picks up One UI 3.1.1 and September 2021 security patch with the new update

Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is receiving a new software update from Verizon. It brings the One UI 3.1.1 skin and updates the Android security patch level to September 2021. Although this is not the latest security patch, it should fix a bunch of system security and privacy-related vulnerabilities.

Verizon has released the system update number 12 for the Galaxy Tab S5e. It comes with the software version RP1A.200720.012.T727VVRU2DUJ1. According to the changelog, the new update brings One UI 3.1.1 that brings enhancements to Clock, Quick Share, and My Files apps.

Verizon has also added the September 2021 security patch in the new OTA update. Galaxy Tab S5e users on Verizon’s network have started picking up the new update. Those who have not received it yet should manually check the status by navigating to Settings >> Software updates.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e One UI 3.1.1 update

Samsung released the Galaxy Tab S5e back in 2019 with Android 9 Pie onboard. Thanks to the two major OS upgrades, the device is now running on Android 11 OS. Samsung is working to bring One UI 4.0 skin, which is based on Android 12. The company recently released its Android 12 roadmap for India, and unfortunately, Galaxy Tab S5e is not on the list. However, the device will continue to receive regular security updates.
