Verizon Galaxy Tab S7 5G and Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G pick up May 2021 security update

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 5G and Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G are receiving new software update from Verizon. It brings the latest security patch released in May 2021 for improved protection against security and privacy related vulnerabilities.

Verizon Galaxy Tab S7 5G May 2021 security update

The new software update for Galaxy Tab S7 5G and Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G can be identified by firmware versions RP1A.200720.012.T878USQU2BUE1 and RP1A.200720.012.T978USQU2BUE1 respectively. This is a minor security patch update, so don’t expect to see some new features or changes to the user interface.

As mentioned in Samsung’s documentation, the May 2021 security patch brings fixes to 3 critical, 24 high level, and 17 moderate Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE). If you’re own a Verizon-bound Galaxy Tab S7 5G or Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G and have not received the new update yet, then manually update your phone by heading to Settings >> Software updates and then tap on Download and Install.
