Verizon has recently released the latest March 2024 update for its couple of Samsung Galaxy devices and the Galaxy Watch 6 series smartwatches are one of them. That means the Verizon Galaxy Watch 6 gets March 2024 Update in the US. Even the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic has also received the same update.
The specific software update was already released in other countries like South Korea a couple of days ago. Well, the remaining Galaxy Watch 6 lineup units will soon receive the same update in the upcoming days or weeks. So, you may wait for a while until the update notification arrives on your smartwatch.
It’s one kind of a security patch update that fixes over 45 security vulnerabilities including 2 critical, 35 high-level CVEs, and 9 SVE exposures via Samsung One UI for the Android OS. The March 2024 update for both the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic brings the overall system improvements or stability to the user interface.
More importantly, the update adds health accuracy improvements as compared to the previous issues. It also includes improvements for both the Samsung Health and Connect TV. To be precise, the software version R935USQU1AXB7 (40mm) and R945USQU1AXB7 (44mm) for Galaxy Watch 6 includes support for TV pairing which will allow the users to check exercise measurement data on their connected TVs (only on the latest 2024 TVs or later).
The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic R955USQU1AXB7 (43mm) and R965USQU1AXB7 (47mm) software versions are also adding the same changes or improvements.

Samsung Health:
- Connect TV
- When you’re watching a movie or other content on a Samsung Smart TV and working out simultaneously, you can view your exercise measurement data on your TV by simply selecting the “Connect TV” button on your watch.
- Note: Only compatible with new Samsung Smart TVs from 2024 and the same Samsung Account signed in is required. Follow the steps below to connect to your TV from your watch.
- Go to Samsung Health > Select an exercise > wait for the count down or tap to skip > a pop up to “Connect TV” will show > select “Connect TV” if you want to make the connection.
- Once connected, your exercise data will be displayed on your TV.
- Health accuracy

Now, if you’re also using any of the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 or Watch 6 Classic smartwatches, try manually checking out the brand-new update as follows.
- Connect your Galaxy Watch 6 series to your handset first.
- Once paired, open the Galaxy Wearable app.
- Tap on Watch Settings > Tap on Watch Software Update.
- Tap on Download and Install.
- If an update is available, it’ll be downloaded automatically.
- When prompted, tap on Update Now.
- Now, tap on Install Now from the ‘Watch software update’ screen.
- The software update process may take several minutes to complete.
- Once done, manually reboot your smartwatch to apply changes.
