When will Samsung update Galaxy S21 FE 5G to One UI 5.0?

It’s been almost two months since Android 13 was released to the public. Since other OEMs have started releasing their own custom skins, it takes a while for the update to become available for all eligible smartphones. Samsung has been releasing its own One UI 5 firmware and has already started pushing the stable update for the Galaxy S22 Series. Samsung is also testing the One UI 5 Beta update on numerous phones. However, the beta testing phase isn’t available for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE yet. This raises the question, when will Samsung roll out the Android 13-based One UI 5 update for Galaxy S21 FE.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE One UI 5 (Android 13) internal testing is already in progress

Recently, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE internal testing firmware has been spotted. It essentially means that the update could arrive soon. You’ll also have to keep in mind that the update availability would be different for different regions. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was released early this year and will be eligible for four major updates.

It means that the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition will receive updates till Android 16 while the Galaxy S21 Series will only receive updates up to Android 15.

When will Samsung update Galaxy S21 FE 5G to One UI 5.0?

The Galaxy S21 Fan Edition receives updates soon after its siblings. It means that the Galaxy S21 FE will be getting the stable Android 13 Update soon after the Samsung Galaxy S21 Series receives it. Recently, Samsung shared the One UI 5 rollout plans for November and December. According to the list, the Galaxy S21 Series is expected to receive the update in November while the Galaxy S20 FE will be getting the update in December.

This means that the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE might be receiving the Android 13-based update as early as November. Since its predecessor S20 FE is planned to get the update in December, there’s no way that the S21 FE will be getting the update later than its predecessor.
