Android 12 update officially goes live for LG Velvet LTE, LG Q92 5G, and LG V50S ThinQ

While it has been a long time since LG decided to exit the smartphone market, the OEM has surprised the fan by introducing the Android 12 update. Android 12 OS has started rolling out for the LG Velvet LTE, LV V50S ThinQ, and LG Q92 5G users. In this article, you’ll get to know all about the Android 12 Updates for the three LG devices.

Changelog for the Android 12 Update for LG V50S ThinQ

LG V50S ThinQ has started receiving the Android 12 Update in Vietnam and it comes with the firmware version V510N40b. The update will increase the security patch to April 2022. Many users have been receiving the update and it’ll be available for other regions soon.

  • The device has been updated to Android 12 OS
  • A new function to restrict/allow camera/microphone use is added to protect personal information
  • For privacy protection, a green icon will be displayed at the top of the screen while the microphone/camera is in use
  • A shortcut icon for IoT device control is added to the notification window
  • Added feature to choose between approximate/exact location when allowing the app to determine the device’s location
  • An added function to release the permissions of apps that haven’t been used for a while and to free up the space by deleting temporary files
