  • Live Activities API
  • Stage Manager tweaks in iPadOS 16.1
  • Redesigned Screenshots menu
  • Matter accessories compatibility for Home app
  • An icon for connected headphones in the music app
  • A new option in the Game Center to allow finding friends

How to install iOS 16.1 Beta 1 update?

Currently, the new iOS 16.1 Beta 1 update is only available for developers. The public beta is expected to become available soon. If you’re on iOS 16 firmware and haven’t removed the beta profile, you can check for the new update by going to Settings -> General -> Software Update. If you’re on the public build and wish to test the iOS 16.1 beta, you will have to install the beta profile on your iPhone. You’ll be receiving the update on your iPhone once you’ve installed the beta profile. Ensure that you’re taking a full backup of your iPhone’s data and charge it to at least 60% before updating.
