The new update will introduce improved compatibility with wireless carriers alongside Crash Detection optimization on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro devices.

The Car Crash Detection feature on iPhone 14 Series models had issues when it debuted. It sometimes activated when the users were riding roller coasters, forcing users to turn it off instead. The false trigger is alarming as the iPhone 14 feature automatically reaches out to 911 to report that someone requires help. Instead, they simply go on a thrill ride.

The said function contacts emergency services when it anticipates that the iPhone user could be in a car crash. Moreover, it is also worth mentioning that it remains to be seen if the optimization will address these false alarms. To get the new iOS 16.1.2 update, you can either install it automatically or the users can download it manually.
