Apple starts rolling out the new iOS 16.1 RC and iOS 15.7.1 RC Updates

A few weeks ago, the iOS 16 update was released for eligible iPhone users. As this is the first build of iOS 16, there are a few bugs and glitches. While Apple has released three incremental updates for iOS 16, those updates only fixed a fraction of the bugs. The new iOS 16.1 update feels like a big update with a lot of bug fixes. Alongside the new iOS 16.1 update, Apple has also released iOS 15.7.1 RC, iPadOS 16.1 RC, tvOS 16.1 RC, macOS Ventura 13.0RC, macOS Big Sur 11.7.1 RC4, watchOS 9.1 RC, and macOS Monterey 12.6.1 RC4.

The new iOS 16.1 update will come with the build number 20B79. It is the build number for the public build, which is expected to release next week on October 24th. The update size will depend on the previous build and the device.

The new updates will come with numerous bug fixes, new modern upgrades, improvements, and new features as well. However, if you have tested the previous beta builds, you might not find many changes. The update will introduce iCloud Shared Photo Library, which makes it easy to keep your photos up to date. This release will also add support for third-party apps in Live Activities and come with support for Apple Fitness+ on iPhone even if you don’t own an Apple Watch. Meanwhile, the update also includes other features and bug fixes.
