Apple starts rolling out the new iOS 16.2 Beta 2 Update

After a gap of a week, Apple resumed the beta updates and came out with a bunch of new updates. The new iOS 16.2 Beta 2 update is a new update for iOS 16 eligible devices. Apple has been testing iOS 16.2, which will be the second major update after the official release of iOS 16.

Alongside the second iOS 16.2 Beta Update, Apple has also released the iPadOS 16.2 Beta 2 update, watchOS 9.2 Beta update, tvOS 16.2 Beta 2 update, macOS Big Sur 11.7.2. RC update, macOS Monterey 12.6.2. RC update, and macOS Ventura 13.1 Beta 2 update. The latest iOS beta update has become available for developers with the build number 20C5043e. The build number indicates that the beta testing could run longer than expected.

As for the changes and new features, the users can expect new additions as it is only the second beta build. According to the early impressions, the latest iOS 16.2 update will bring a new health widget for the lock screen. For users in India, the update will bring support for 5G devices on eligible iPhones.

The second iOS 16.2 update has become available to developers. Soon, the update will become available to public beta users. Since it’s a beta update, you’ll require a beta profile installed on your iPhone for receiving the update. You should see the update if you’ve already installed the iOS 16.2 profile. For manually checking the update, you should head over to Settings -> General -> Software Update. If it shows the first beta build, you’ll need to tap Download and Install for getting the update.
