One of the most popular features of Pixel 4 is the latest 90Hz display but many users and tech reviewers like MKBHD have found out that the device mostly stayed at 60Hz and some times use the 90Hz refresh rate. But there is an option deep inside the settings which let users force the display to stay at 90Hz all the time.

  • First Enable Developer Option.
    • Go to Settings > search Build number > tap 7 times on the build number. There will be a pop-up msg ” ‘You’re now a developer!’  ( If ask, provide the PIN/ password for security )
  • Now Go back to Settings > search Developer Option > Now look for Force 90 Hz refresh rate option and enable it by the toggling the button. Done!!
  • Now your Pixel 4/Xl display will always stay at 90Hz
