Google is one of the frontrunners when it comes to rolling out the latest security updates and it has happened again with the March Update. Google has started pushing the March 2023 Security Update for Pixel smartphones.
Not just that, this month’s update is also special as it’ll bring in the latest Pixel feature drop. Alongside the security updates and bug fixes, you’ll also get a bunch of exciting new features. The update is available for all eligible Pixel devices running Android 13.
Changelog for the March 2023 Security Update
As for the changes, the new update addresses various issues while also offering improvements. The update includes fixes for issues regarding battery and charging, improvements to biometrics, fixes for Bluetooth, improvements for camera stability, and fixes for Display and Graphics. Further, there are also fixes for the system, telephony, touch response, and user interface.

How to download and install the March 2023 Security Update for Pixel devices
The March 2023 Security Update is being rolled out in a staged manner and if you haven’t received the update’s notification yet, you can manually check for it. You can either download the update through the notification or head over to Settings -> System -> Advanced -> System Update and then install the new update. If you’re looking to manually install the March 2023 Security Update on your Pixel phone, you can do so by sideloading the update. The OTA files and factory images of the update are already available. However, before updating your phone, ensure that you’re taking a backup of the important data.
