How to factory reset an Oculus Quest 2
Method 1: With a mobile phone
- Launch the Meta Quest app on your smartphone
- Ensure that you’re using the same account signed into the app as the Quest 2 headset
- Tap on the Menu -> Devices option at the bottom menu in the app
- You’ll need to tap on the headset that is connected to your mobile phone currently via the app
- Choose the Advanced Settings option
- Select the Factory Reset option before confirming the reset process by selecting “Yes”
- The Oculus Quest 2 VR headset will reset
Method 2: Without a mobile phone
- First, you should ensure that you power off your Meta Quest 2 headset
- Press and hold the Power + Volume Down buttons on your headset
- Keep the buttons pressed until the Quest 2 boot screen pops up on the headset
