Reset iCloud Drive Sync
You can easily do this either through Activity Monitor or by using Terminal. Here are some of the methods that you can refer to –
Method 1: Using Terminal
- First, you’ll have to open Launchpad
- Now, go to Others before opening Terminal
- After that, execute the following command in the Terminal –
killall bird
Method 2: Using Activity Monitor
- First, you’ll need to open Launchpad
- Open “Others” before opening Activity Monitor
- After that, search bird in the top right before selecting it from the results
- Double-click to open it before clicking on Quit -> Force Quit
- That’s it, you’ve reset the iCloud Drive Sync
Restart iCloud Drive Sync
Similar to reset, you can restart the iCloud Drive Sync using two methods as mentioned below –
Method 1: Restart Mac
- Click on the Apple icon located at the top left before selecting Restart
- Once the PC reboots, you should try the sync process once again and check if it works
Method 2: Re-sign into your Apple account
- Open System Settings before selecting the username from the top
- Click on the Sign-out button at the bottom left
