Huawei P40 Pro and Mate 30 Pro on EMUI 11 receiving February 2021 security patch update

After the completion of EMUI 11 rollout in China, Huawei started rolling out the same update to the global variant of Huawei P40 Pro and Mate 30 Pro which is still expanding. Now, the global variants of Huawei P40 Pro and Mate 30 Pro on EMUI 11 are getting February 2021 security patch update for system security enhancements.

The latest software package can be identified with firmware version 11.0.0.176 for both the devices and weighs just over 300MB in size. It fixes 2 critical, 26 high, and 77 medium levels of CVEs, better known as security vulnerabilities.

Via Settings App

• Open Settings app
• Go to System & updates -> Software update 
• Then, click on Check for updates
• Download and install the update.
