Recently, Microsoft started rolling out the Windows 11 22H2 October 2022 Update and it brought along numerous new features. Now, Microsoft has introduced the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22621.746 and 22623.746 updates to the Dev channel. In the new updates, Microsoft has fixed the issue where the gesture for sliding the Start menu open from the bottom of the screen using touch was stopping following your finger.

Tablet-optimized taskbar
- The taskbar flashes at times when transitioning between desktop posture and tablet posture
- When you’re using the bottom right edge gesture for seeing Quick Settings, the taskbar occasionally stayed stuck in the expanded state instead of dismissing to the collapsed state
- The taskbar was taking longer than expected to transition to the touch-optimized version when switching between tablet posture and desktop posture
System tray updates
- Dragging the system tray icons might result in explorer.exe crashing for some insiders
Steps to install the new Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22621.746 and 22623.746
The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22621.746 and 22623.746 are new preview updates that have been made available to users. As it’s a preview update, you’ll get it in the option update. For manually updating to the new version, head over to Settings -> Windows Update -> Advanced Options -> Optional Updates. After that, you have to select the update and then click on the Download and Install button.
