Microsoft releases the new Windows Subsystem for Android June Update
Microsoft has started rolling out the new Windows 11 Subsystem for Android upgrade and it comes with version number 2305.40000.4.0. You can install it by heading over to the Microsoft Store. Microsoft is dedicated to improving the Windows Subsystem for Android as can be seen with the introduction of memory configuration settings and the File Sharing feature. The upgrade has officially gone live on all channels in Windows Insider Program and you can upgrade and try the new features.
Changelog for the new update
The File Sharing feature allows the user to share files between Windows and the Subsystem. The new feature is enabled by default for preview users and allows them to share Windows user folders, like Documents and Pictures, with the Subsystem. You’ll be able to turn off the feature from Windows Subsystem for Android Settings. Once folder sharing is enabled, your Windows user profile folder will be shared as “/sdcard/Windows” in the Subsystem.
