Motorola Edge 30 Ultra gets Android 14 Update

Motorola has started rolling out Android 14 to the Edge 30 Ultra in Brazil and Europe. The 1.4GB update adds monochrome themes, webcam functionality, and improved privacy controls.

Reports say the update is hitting Edge 30 Ultras in Brazil and parts of Europe. The build number is U1SQ34.52-21-1. And at a chunky 1.4GB, you’ll wanna use WiFi for this beast of an update.

Just last month when Android 14 launched, some Moto users worried they might have to wait a full year for the update. But props to Motorola for speeding things up and already pushing out Android 14 to a few lucky devices. The rollout started with the Moto G53, then went to the Edge+ 2023 and Edge 40 Pro. Now the Edge 30 Ultra is joining the Android 14 party!

So what’s new and fun in Android 14 for the Edge 30 Ultra? Lots of good stuff! We’re talking new color themes, using your phone as a webcam, refreshed battery settings, bigger fonts, and enhanced privacy. The popular lock screen customizations are still a work in progress but will come soon in a future update.

Android 14 For Motorola Edge 30 Ultra

Some Moto fans are worried that an Android update might break their phone or take away features. Motorola said they know there is a problem with lock screens and are fixing it right away, so do not worry. So keep an eye out for that.

If you’ve got an Edge 30 Ultra in Brazil or Europe, watch for that Android 14 notification! If you don’t see it yet, check manually in Settings. Since not everyone gets it immediately, it could take some time. Or use Motorola’s desktop software to grab it faster if you can’t wait.

Before installing, be sure to back up your stuff and charge to at least 50%. Then have fun exploring all the Android 14 goodies on your Edge 30 Ultra!
