OnePlus 7 and 7T Series get OxygenOS 12 Open Beta 2 [Download]

The second OxygenOS 12 open beta is now available for the OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus 7T Pro. The update brings some refinement to the previous beta build and some newly added features.

Just so you know, the OnePlus 7/7T series’ initial open beta version of OxygenOS 12 was published in the first week of July. And now, after more than a month, we have the second open beta! Accordingly, the stable version of Android 12 for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7T series should be available within the next month.

If you are on the previous beta you may get the update notification or you can just check by going to Settings > System > System Update. If you are not on the beta build and running the stable OxygenOS 11, then you have to download the firmware file and flash it via local upgrade.

Transfer the OxygenOS 12 Open Beta 2 package to the phone’s internal storage to begin the installation process. Afterwards, head to the Settings menu, where you must select System, System Update, the top-right button, and then Local install. You can now install Open Beta 2 by selecting the appropriate package and wait for the installation to finish. Turn off your phone and enjoy it after a reboot.

Note: Before you upgrade, you should make sure that you have a backup of your phone and that it is charged to at least 50 percent. You can use the rollback package files that are listed below in the event that you decide that Android 11 is more to your liking.
