Steps to fix Percival Rackham’s Quest Bugged in Hogwarts Legacy
This issue has been acknowledged by the developers and they’ve responded to this matter, stating that they’ve started collecting reports on the issue. However, no official ETA has been provided for the fix. In the meantime, a potential turnaround will be to try and use a new copy of the game.
How to complete this quest?
Start by heading to San Bakar’s Tower in the North Ford Bog. Professor Fig will head over to San Bakar’s Tower, so you should equip Disillusionment to keep yourself hidden. Then, sneak up behind the goblins and cast Petrificus Totalus to silently kill them. Once they’re dead, search the area for a note. It’ll be in the tent on the left-hand side. Go inside the tower and interact with the portrait of Percival Rackham. Once the conversation is up, go downstairs and interact with the ancient magic on the floor before entering the doorway.
Once you interact with the ancient magic, use the platform to travel to the other side of the doorway to progress. For the next platform puzzle, move it so that you can interact with ancient magic suspended in mid-air. More platform puzzles and combat encounters will follow but they won’t present much of a challenge.
Eventually, you will come across a final room packed full of enemies. Stay out of the way of them and kill them. You need to fight a Pensieve Guardian. Then, you should cross the bridge and interact with Percival Rackham’s Memories in the Basin. After the cutscene, return to the Map Chamber and start a conversation with Professor Fig and Professor Rackham before talking to Charles Rookwood separately.
