Realme 8 5G and Realme Narzo 30 5G start receiving the latest January 2022 Security Update

Realme is renowned for being early when it comes to sending out monthly security updates to devices, and the latest update is no exception. Realme has started rolling out the latest January 2022 Security Update for Realme 8 5G and Realme Narzo 30 5G. The new update has started being pushed in India and the patch is slightly bigger than usual, coming in between 300MB and 600MB in size. Many Realme users have already mentioned in the community that they noticed improved contact search while the overall performance improved as well.

The new security update for Realme 8 5G and Realme Narzo 30 5G can be identified with the firmware version RMX3241_11_A.13 and RMX3242_11_A.13 respectively. The updates are already being pushed for users in India. It will contain the latest January 2022 Security Patch but it isn’t out yet which vulnerabilities have been fixed in the new update. You can manually download and install this update by going to your device’s settings. For doing that, follow these simple instructions –

  • Click on System and Updates
  • Now, open Software Update
  • Tap on the option Check for Updates
  • If the update is available, simply click on Download and Install
  • Once the installation is finished, reboot your Realme device

Alternatively, you could manually request software updates through the “My Huawei” app. In order to do that, open the “My Huawei app”, tap on the “Update” option, then select the “Check for Updates” option, and finally “Download and Install”.
