Realme X7 5G, Realme GT Neo 2 get January 2022 security patch update

Realme started rolling out the January 2022 security patch last week with the Realme C20. The company has now added Realme X7 5G and Realme GT Neo 2 to the list, as the devices have started picking up the latest security patch in India.

The January 2022 software update for Realme X7 5G and Realme GT Neo 2 was announced through blog posts (12) on the Realme community forum. The new OTA update for Realme X7 5G is tagged with the firmware version RMX3092_11.C.09. It brings the January 2022 security patch and improves system performance, system stability.

With the new update for Realme X7 5G, the company has fixed the issue where portable devices could not be detected in several cases. The new update for Realme GT Neo 2 also brings several fixes and improvements, in addition to the January 2022 security patch. It fixes the widevine key missing issue, playback voice noise issue when using Google Translate, and green flashing screen issue when playing YouTube videos. The update also includes system stability optimizations and user experience improvements.

Realme X7 5G January 2022 security update

Realme is sending the January 2022 software update to Realme X7 5G and Realme GT Neo 2 users in India in a phased manner. Hence, the update will initially reach a limited number of users, followed by a broader rollout in the coming. Meanwhile, you can manually look for new updates by navigating to Settings >> Software Update.
