Samsung has already released the Nougat updates to its several phones, be it flagship or mid-range in different parts of the world but there is one grave exclusion among this phones and it is the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is the flagship of 2015 for Samsung which as it turns out is also the latest of the Note series smartphones from Samsung because of the Note 7 incident which forced the company to pull the phones out of the market. This also means that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 should recieve the Nougat update after the Galaxy S7 but that was not the case. We have already seen the Samsung Galaxy A9 and the other mid-range devices from Samsung getting the latest updates before the Note 5.
Nevertheless, Now the official update which brings with it Android 7.0 Nougat is being released to Samsung Galaxy Note 5 but the update seems to be geographically restricted in Turkey. The update process may be restricted to test the update before rolling out the update to a wider range of devices to check for bugs and ensure quality.
Galaxy Note 5 users in Turkey are reportedly receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update as firmware build number N920CXXU3CQC7. Other than installing the new Nougat software, the update also brings with it the March security patch as well as the Nougat features. Once installed, the Galaxy Note 5 users will be able to enjoy enhanced UX experience, improved notification features, split window mode, improved settings menus amongst other features.
The Android Nougat update is being pushed as an OTA update in Turkey. Thus, it should hit your devices anytime soon, if it has not yet. However, if you do not want to wait for it, you can manually check it by heading to Settings » About device » System updates. Make sure that you have battery fully charged in your phone or plug-in the phone to any wall adapter before starting the update process because the update process could take some time and it could drain your battery
