The Google Pay App will Shut Down in the US soon

GPay (Google Pay) is known as one of the best online payment services that will shut down in the USA from 4th June 2024 onwards. Google Pay allows users to make transactions online directly via a registered bank account. After a successful run of digital payment experience, it looks like the Google Pay App will Shut Down in the United States soon.

The Google Pay app integration introduced a stage for digital wallets like Google Wallet, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, etc that improves the user experience in the digital payment segment. Now, if you’re still using the Google Pay app to manage your payment services online in the US then you should switch to a new platform.

As Google has recently announced the shutdown news of GPay in the US region, existing users are wondering why Google decided to do this. It’ll get shut down on June 4, 2024, so you guys have some time to start using another digital payment service and transfer your Google Pay balance to your bank account before it’s too late.

In case, you still have money or cashback rewards in the Google Pay app after the shutdown timeline then you’ll have to access and transfer any remaining balance via the official GPay website by following the required steps. So, it’s better to take action now to avoid extra hassle.

Additionally, Google is also removing the peer-to-peer payments that are used to send, request, or receive money from others in the US. Currently, the GPay app shutdown process is just for the US. Fortunately, users can still access the useful Google Pay app features in the Google Wallet app.

But the deals will be found via the Google Search feature that you should know. Meanwhile, you’ll no longer be able to send or request money from friends and family members via the Google Pay application once the shutdown timeline crosses.

However, the Google Pay app support and services will continue working in India and Singapore without any issues. From June 4, 2024, Google Wallet will continue offering digital payment services as a primary one in the US.

It’ll also allow users to store credit and debit cards digitally for tap-to-pay systems without requiring them to carry physical cards. In addition, you can also use the Google Wallet app to save loyalty cards, passes, booked tickets, digital car keys, and even government IDs in some areas digitally.
