LG K51 and LG Q70 are receiving a new software update from Verizon. It bumps the Android security patch level to June 2021 that fixes a bunch of security and privacy related vulnerabilities.
Verizon has released system update number 8 for LG K51, whereas the LG Q70 is receiving its 7th system update. Regardless of the different system update numbers, it does not bring more than just a new security patch.
The new update for Verizon-bound LG K51 and LG Q70 carries software versions K500UM10k and Q620VA10i respectively. If you’re a LG K51 or Q70 user on Verizon’s network, then you might have already received the new build. If you haven’t, then manually update your phone by navigating to Settings >> About phone >> Software updates >> Check for Update and then tap on Download Now button.
