Verizon Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy S20 FE 5G get June 2021 security update

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy S20 FE 5G on Verizon’s network are receiving a new software update. The new build brings the latest security patch released in June 2021 for security and privacy related enhancements.

Verizon Galaxy S20 FE 5G June 2021 update

The June update for Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy S20 FE 5G is rolling out as 9th and 10th system update from Verizon. As per Samsung’s documentation, the June 2021 security patch fixes 2 Critical, 27 High levels, and 5 Moderate levels CVE’s, generally called security vulnerabilities.

The new software update for Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy S20 FE 5G can be identified by firmware versions RP1A.200720.012.F916USQS1DUE3 and RP1A.200720.012.G781VSQS3DUE2. This is a minor security patch and does not bring new features, performance improvements or UI changes.

If you’re a Galaxy Z Fold 2 or Galaxy S20 FE 5G user and have not received the latest build yet, then manually update your phone by navigating to Settings >> Software update and then tap on Download and Install
