Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy S20 FE 5G on Verizon’s network are receiving a new software update. The new build brings the latest security patch released in June 2021 for security and privacy related enhancements.
The June update for Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy S20 FE 5G is rolling out as 9th and 10th system update from Verizon. As per Samsung’s documentation, the June 2021 security patch fixes 2 Critical, 27 High levels, and 5 Moderate levels CVE’s, generally called security vulnerabilities.
The new software update for Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy S20 FE 5G can be identified by firmware versions RP1A.200720.012.F916USQS1DUE3 and RP1A.200720.012.G781VSQS3DUE2. This is a minor security patch and does not bring new features, performance improvements or UI changes.
If you’re a Galaxy Z Fold 2 or Galaxy S20 FE 5G user and have not received the latest build yet, then manually update your phone by navigating to Settings >> Software update and then tap on Download and Install.
