One UI 7 update could bring the Vertical App Drawer feature
According to the officials in charge of Good Lock development, the upcoming version of One UI will be bringing the Vertical App Drawer feature. This info was revealed as the answer to a user’s question about potentially getting this feature back in Good Lock’s Home Up Module.
As One UI’s stock app launcher lacks vertical alignment, it came as an option in Good Lock’s Home Up module. The developers, tinkerers, and enthusiasts were able to use this feature for changing the app drawer’s alignment. However, this feature got removed recently.
Since One UI 7 is expected to bring a vertical app drawer feature, Home Up will not need this feature anymore. However, it would still be an issue for Galaxy handsets running the One UI 6 firmware.
Google released the Android 15 Beta 1 recently, with more beta versions expected to be released before Google I/O 2024 in May. Samsung could begin the One UI 7 Beta Program a few weeks after Google I/O 2024. The stable version of One UI 7 is expected to come out in the fourth quarter of 2024.
