  1. By adjusting the file explorer options

  • Open the Control Panel menu.
  • In the search bar in the top right corner, type “File Explorer Options” and open it.
  • Then, choose the General tab.
  • Besides the Open File Explorer To, drop down the menu and choose the “This PC” option.
  • Click on Apply and press on Ok.

  • Right-click on it before selecting “Run as administrator”.
  • In the pop-up window, type the command and press enter – sfc/scannow.
