Apple officially releases the iOS 16.2 update for the public

After almost two months of beta testing, Apple has finally released the iOS 16.2 update to everyone. This is the next major update after iOS 16.1 and similar to iOS 16.1, it’ll also have many interesting new features. The new iOS 16.2 update for the public has become available for all iPhones that are eligible for iOS 16. This will likely be the last update before the holidays, which makes it a great holiday treat for iPhone users.

Alongside the iOS 16.2 Update, Apple has also released the iPadOS 16.2 update, watchOS 9.2 update, iOS 15.7.2 update, iPadOS 15.7.2,  tvOS 16.2 Beta 2 update, macOS Big Sur 11.7.2 update, macOS Monterey 12.6.2 update,  HomePod Software 16.2, tvOS 16.2, and macOS Big Sur 11.7.2 update. The latest iOS update comes with the build number 20C65. Since this is a major update, it’ll weigh more than 1GB in size.

As for the changes and new features, the users can expect many new features and additions. The new iOS 16.2 update will bring features like Apple Music Sing, new AOD options, Free form App, SharePlay support in Game Center, Apple TV Live Activities for Sports, and 5G support in India among others.

How to update to the new iOS update?

The new iOS 16.2 update has finally become available to the public. If you’ve got an eligible iPhone, you will be receiving the update on your mobile. Since the build is the same as the RC build, you won’t be receiving the update if you’ve already updated to iOS 16.2 RC. For manually checking the update, you should head over to Settings -> General -> Software Update. Once you see the update available on your iPhone, tap the Download and Install button.
