After multiple developer beta updates and a month of testing, Apple has officially released the stable version of the Apple Watch operating system.
This update comes as Apple has started rolling out the watchOS 10 Public Beta. Talking of the watchOS 10 public beta, Apple has been pushing the new update with the build number 21R5305e. It is worth noting that this is exact same build that was released for developers as the third developer beta.
If you’ve got an Apple Watch Series 4 or newer model, you’ll be able to freely upgrade to the new watchOS 10 update.

How to download and install the watchOS 10 Public Beta?
If your iPhone is running on the IOS 17 public beta, then you’ll be able to sideload the watchOS 10 public beta. To do that, you’ll need to follow these steps –
- Start by opening the Watch app on your iPhone
- Tap on the “General” option before choosing the “Software Update” option
- Select Beta Updates before enabling the watchOS 10 Public Beta option
- Return and download the public beta of watchOS 10
You should make sure that your watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a Wi-Fi network. After you have installed the beta profile, you should open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, go to General before going to Software Update and selecting Download and Install. This will install the new software.
The watchOS 10 public beta will be downloaded and transferred to your Apple Watch. After the installation process is completed, your Apple Watch will restart. Once it is done, you’ll be able to start using your Apple Watch with the new firmware.
