Apple starts rolling out the iOS 17.0.1 Update

It has only been a few days since the iOS 17 was released, and Apple has come out with an incremental iOS 17 update for eligible users. It comes in the form of iOS 17.0.1. and it is a small but important update for users in the recent iOS 17 update.

In the past, it can be seen that Apple has rolled out fix updates quickly after the official release in case there were any critical issues with the update.

The first iOS 17 update came out sooner than expected. The new iOS 17.0.1 update has become available for all eligible iPhone users including the iPhone 15 Series, iPhone 14 Series, iPhone 13 Series, iPhone 12 Series, iPhone 11 Series, iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, iPhone XR, and more.

Aside from the iOS 17.0.1 update, Apple has also rolled out the iPadOS 17.0.1 update, PadOS 16.7 update, iOS 16.7 update, watchOS 10.0.1 update, macOS 12.7 Monterey, macOS 13.6 Ventura, and macOS 14 Sonoma RC2.  The latest iOS 17.0.1 update is available for eligible users and comes with the build number 21A340, which is the same as the iPadOS 17.0.1. Meanwhile, there is also the iOS 16.7 update available for all iPhone 14 models.

Since this is a small update and focused on critical bug fixes alongside the security and kernel improvements. This update will provide important security fixes and it is recommended that all users should download.

How to download the iOS 17.0.1 update?

This update is available for all eligible iPhones. You’ll be able to check for this update by heading over to Settings -> General -> Software Update. If you were previously on beta and turned it off, you will still get the new iOS 17.0.1 update on your device.
