AT&T LG G8 ThinQ Android 10 update arrives with December 2019 Patch

Last year, the South-Korean OEM LG has released its flagship device called LG G8 ThinQ with all flagship-grade specifications. At that time, the device was running on Android 9.0 Pie on the top of LG UX 9.0 skin. Now, there is good news for all the AT&T carrier G8 ThinQ variant users, as AT&T has started rolling out the latest Android OS version officially. AT&T LG G8 ThinQ Android 10 update arrives with December 2019 Patch following by the Android 10 update for the US Unlocked G8 ThinQ variants.

Now, talking about the latest and stable Android 10 update, it comes with a new software version G820UM20i for the model number LM-G820UM respectively. The update brings all-new Android 10 (Q) OS including improved UI, dark theme, smart reply, gestures navigation, improved app permissions & system security, enhanced location privacy control, focus mode, and more. But it lacks somewhere between the security patch level, as the update brings an outdated December 2019 Android Security Patch.

If you’re an LG G8 ThinQ user over the AT&T carrier and waiting for the Android 10 update then you can check for the OTA update notification on your device manually. As the OTA update always roll-out in batches, it should take a couple of days or so to arrive at all the units. Head over to the device Settings -> About Phone -> Software Updates -> Check for Update -> Download Now.
