OnePlus 8 series was among the very first phones to taste the Android 11. Since then, the company released a couple of updates fixing bugs. Earlier this year, rumors about Oppo’s ColorOS skin on OnePlus devices started to come out. Today, the company officially confirmed that the OnePlus 9 series will run ColorOS in China.
It’s not known why the company is switching to ColorOS skin. But some reports suggest that the company is struggling with releasing Android 11 builds. Now, OnePlus through its Chinese community forum announced the ColorOS 11 early access beta program for OnePlus 8.
Check out the OnePlus Forum post to see the steps for participating in ColorOS early access program. It should be noted that this will be an early development beta release, so it may bring a lot of issues/bugs. If you don’t like the new update or facing a lot of issues, return to the previous version. Steps for rollback is also mentioned in the same forum post.
