Android 11 is the newest and latest Android OS version right now after releasing the stable version by Google recently. Each and every Android lover keeping an eye on every release or Android update only to get to know which devices are getting the major Android OS update and which aren’t. The same thing applies to Xiaomi devices also and all the interested Xiaomi users are really keen to know which devices will gonna receive the latest Android OS update in the upcoming months. Google previously released a couple of Android 11 Developer Preview builds and then Public Beta builds for its eligible Pixel series devices. Now, all the compatible Pixel series devices are officially running on the Android 11 stable version except for the first generation of Pixel/XL models. Whereas some of the Android 11 Developer Preview build enlisted non-Pixel devices models from other brands are still running on the same.

But thanks to the AOSP and Project Treble support, now all the Android 8.0 Oreo or above version running device users can easily download and install the Android 11 GSI build to get Android 11 ROM right away. Whereas some of the custom firmware developers have already started releasing its custom ROM based on AOSP 11 for some of the Android device models.

Though Xiaomi is quite active in terms of providing the latest Android OS updates, most of the device models struggle to receive the update on time. Xiaomi also pushes all the useful features of Android OS to its MIUI skin without upgrading to that Android version. Useful though but these days users are more concerned about major Android OS updates. Currently, the company is busy pushing the MIUI 12 stable update to its devices across the globe. Whereas, the OEM has started the Android 11 beta testing for its couple of devices in China.

What’s on Android 11?

Talking about the latest Android 11 OS, it has plenty of improvements, additional features, user interface changes, and more. The Android 11 (R) introduced scheduled dark mode, smart reply, smart folders, improved app suggestions, conversation notification, in-built screen recorder, pin apps to sharing menu, improved voice accessibility, Bluetooth in Airplane mode, improved privacy & security features, new Power menu, redesigned music player, chat bubbles, one-time app permissions, auto reset permissions, etc.

Meanwhile, the latest generation of Android OS also brings improved smart home devices, notification history, wireless Android Auto, Google Play system update, improved digital wellbeing, nearby sharing, improved autofill suggestions, scoped storage, soft restart, improved call-screening, picture-in-picture mode, and more.
