Galaxy Fold 5G, Galaxy S9, and S9+ get May 2021 security patch update

Samsung’s May 2021 security patch is rolling out at an enormous speed. Already, it has been rolled out for the Galaxy S20 series, S21 series, Note20 series, Galaxy Z Fold2, and more. Now, the May 2021 security patch update is hitting Galaxy Fold 5G, Galaxy S9, and S9+. 

F907BXXU5EUD7 - Galaxy Fold 5G May 2021 update

The update for Galaxy Fold 5G is currently rolling out in the UK carrying firmware version F907BXXU5EUD7. The 4G variant of Galaxy Fold has already received the May security update which also brings improvements to cameras and Quick Share. So, we can expect the same improvements in Galaxy Fold 5G. 

Samsung recently updated Galaxy S9 (Qualcomm edition) with May 2021 security patch in the US. Now, the Exynos powered Galaxy S9 and S9+ are receiving the latest security patch in Germany. The update can be identified by firmware versions G960FXXUFFUD6 and G965FXXUFFUD6

May 2021 security patch for Samsung devices fixes 3 critical CVEs, 24 high CVEs, and 17 medium CVEs. It is always good to have the latest security patch installed for better system security. As of now, the update is rolling out in select regions which should expand in the coming days. In the meantime, Samsung users can manually check for the latest update by navigating to Settings >> Software updates.
