Download the APKs for this feature
If you aren’t using a Pixel smartphone, you will require the extracted APKs. These files have been extracted from one of the Android 14 beta builds and work well on Android 13. You can download the two required APKs from the link mentioned below –
After you have downloaded both APKs, you should copy them to your device’s storage. Open the file manager on your smartphone and locate the Emoji wallpaper pre-built APK. Then, you should tap on it for initiating the installation process. If your smartphone prompts you to allow installation, you need to give the necessary permission. After installing the first app, you’ll need to install the Wallpaper 12 APK, which is the Wallpaper app that’ll allow you to use this feature.
How to customize the emoji wallpapers
- Open the Wallpapers app that you had installed previously
- Now, navigate through the app and scroll down until you get the Live Wallpapers section
- Tap on it for opening the Live Wallpapers options
- In the Live Wallpapers section, you will get the Emoji Wallpapers category, tap on it for exploring the options
- Then, tap on the gear icon at the top right corner to open up the Emoji Wallpaper personalization page
- Here, you’ll find various options similar to Android 14
- You’ll be able to choose your preferred set of emojis, emoji size, emoji pattern, and the background color
- You can also tap the “Randomize” button and get a random set of emojis chosen for you
- Once the desired pattern is created, tap the “Done” button
- Tap the “Set Wallpaper” option and choose where you’re going to set the wallpaper
