What is Windows Copilot feature?
Windows Copilot is a new AI-powered assistant designed to help you be more productive on your computer. It will help you out with tasks like writing, editing, and summarising text. Moreover, you can also navigate and interact with apps. Windows Copilot is still in the beta stage but it’ll change the way you use your PC.
Microsoft limited the Copilot AI assistance to a limited number of actions but it is still present in development mode. Here are some of the actions you can perform using the Windows 11 Copilot feature –
- Take a screenshot
- Change to the dark mode
- Turn on DND (Do Not Disturb)
- Write a story
- Summarize the website
- Make pictures by giving instructions
Steps to enable Windows 11 Copilot AI on Windows 11?
- First, you’ll need to be in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 23493 to be able to join the Windows Insider Program
- Next up, you’ll need to download ViVeTool latest version ZIP file before extracting it
- Then, you should copy the complete path from the address bar where you’ve extracted the file
- Open CMD as the Administrator before navigating to this path by typing cd “your path” EX: cd C:UsersDownloadsViveTool and then press the Enter key
- To enable Windows 11 Copilot, you should copy and paste the following command –
vivetool/enable/id:44774629,44850061,44776738,42105254,41655236
- Now, press the Enter key and then restart your PC
- You have enabled Windows Copilot
- To open this feature, find the copilot icon and click on it, or there is also a shortcut key Win + C
