The device is being updated to MIUI 11.0.9.0 China Stable ROM (V11.0.9.0.QFACNXM) and the best part is, the full firmware, as well as the OTA, is now made available for download. The update is a Chinese Stable ROM. If your device is running on a China ROM, only then you will get the update via OTA. Otherwise, you have to install it manually. The update is based on Android 9 Pie.

The new MIUI 11.0.9.0 China Stable ROM for Mi 9 comes with March 2020 security patch update. The update is being rolled out as an OTA in China. The version is updated to V11.0.9.0.QFACNXM from version V11.0.5.0.QFACNXM. The OTA weighs around 559 MB
The update will be available across China but as it is being rolled out in a phased manner, it may take some time to be available for everyone, but if you want you can manually download and Install Mi 9 MIUI 11.0.9.0 China Stable ROM. The full firmware file is around 1.9 GB in size so we do recommend users to use WiFi while downloading the firmware file.
