Microsoft has started rolling out the latest incremental dev beta build for Windows 11 version 22H2 and it comes in the form of Windows 11 Preview Build 23541.
The new update is available to the Dev Channel and it comes with a number of bug fixes. This is a weekly update focused largely on OS stability.
Recently, Microsoft also rolled out an update for the Canary Channel. The Dev Channel update is typically released along with the Canary channel update but this time it got delayed by a day.
Changelog for the Windows 11 Preview Build 23541 for Dev Channel
The new Windows 11 Preview Build 23541 update will bring rich thumbnail previews for Cloud Files in the Start Menu’s Recommended section. Microsoft developers have warmed Insiders in the Dev channel, the right-click for the share option on these files might disappear temporarily.
Microsoft has also brought along improvements on Microsoft Store version 22308.1401.x.x or higher. There is also a new dedicated Game Pass page where the gamers will be able to explore PC Game pass where the users will be able to explore PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate. Users will get to see exclusive games, day-one gamers, free perks, deals, EA Play, and more. There are also a few bug fixes in the latest Dev build including the explorer.exe crash. Here is the list of bug fixes and known issues –
- Fixed the bug where dragging app icons in the taskbar would sometimes lead to an explorer.exe crash
- Fixed the issue where it was not possible to paste a folder path to mount into the dialog when creating a new Dev Drive
- Fixed the issue where the tooltip when mousing over the search box isn’t matching the current search highlight
If you are a Windows Insider in the Dev Channel, you can get the Windows 11 Preview Build 23541 update on your PC. The Microsoft Store is available to all Channels insiders if you have the required Microsoft version installed.
