The latest release is focused primarily on fixing known issues and it is rolling out with the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25381.1000 (rs_prerelease) build number. Since this is a small update, you’ll be able to install it on your PC easily if you’re running on a Canary build.

Microsoft hasn’t mentioned the entire list of changes and fixes in the release notes for Canary builds. However, there are a few major bug fixes mentioned. The release will mainly address two issues reported by Windows 11 users, including the camera streaming issues and SMB signing requirement changes.

According to the details, SMG signing is required by default for the connections on Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25381 Enterprise editions. This change will overwrite the legacy behavior while SMG signing is needed only when connecting the shares named NETLOGON and SYSVOL. The second major change that comes with the new release is the improvements that are coming to the webcam. As per the changelog, if the camera fails to start, then you’ll see a popup dialog with the recommendation of launching the automated “Get Help” troubleshooter to resolve the issue.
