Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) and Galaxy Note 10 Lite receiving the October 2021 security update

Samsung recently updated Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ with the latest security patch, and now it’s time for Galaxy Note 10 Lite to receive the new security patch. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) also starts receiving the October 2021 security update. 

According to Sammobile, the new OTA update for Galaxy Note 10 Lite is rolling out in France with the firmware version N770FXXS8EUI4. We don’t have the complete changelog yet, but it might include some general bug fixing and stability improvements.

Coming to the Galaxy A9 (2018)’ new update, it is currently rolling out in South Korea. The update can be identified by the firmware version A920NKSU5CUI1, which brings the October 2021 security patch. Samsung recently detailed the latest security patch, which states that it fixes over 60 system security and privacy-related vulnerabilities. the update is unlikely to bring any new features or UI changes.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) and Galaxy Note 10 Lite users in the specified regions have already started receiving the new update. Those who have not received it yet, can manually check for the new update by heading to Settings >> Software updates.
