Samsung Galaxy M22 picks up July 2022 security update

Samsung is pushing a new software update to the Galaxy M22. The latest software update brings the July 2022 security patch. As of now, it is rolling out in Brazil with more regions to follow in the coming weeks.

The July 2022 security patch fixes 3 critical and 20 high levels of CVEs and SVEs from Google and Samsung. The vulnerabilities are related to Wearable Manager Installer, Knoxguard lock, Samsung Finder, Samsung Messages, and Contact storage.

The latest software update for the Galaxy M22 comes with the One UI build version M225FVXXU4BVG1. For now, it is rolling out in Brazil with a download size of 840MB. The update updates 5 stock applications to enhance the device’s functionality. These are Samsung Notes, Samsung Internet, Samsung Members, Calculator, and Voice Recorder.

If you are a Samsung Galaxy M22 user in Brazil and have not received the July update yet, go to Settings >> Software update to manually check if the update is already available on your phone. Don’t worry if no update is available. It usually takes a few days for the latest update to reach all the units.
