Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 receives the Android 12 (One UI 4.1) update at long last.

Samsung has sent Android 12 updates for practically all compatible Galaxy devices, however there are still a few devices that are still on Android 11. As more and more devices update to Android 12, though, that list is shrinking. As of late, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 has received the Android 12 update with the One UI 4.1 custom skin.

Samsung is currently distributing the Android 12 update to the Galaxy Tab A8 in limited regions. It includes many European countries including Austria, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Nordic countries, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Southeast Europe, Spain, Switzerland, the Baltic region, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and the UK. It will be released in other regions in the coming days.

The latest OTA update comes with the firmware version X205XXU1BVI6. In addition to Android 12 and One UI 4.1 cool features and optimizations, the device is getting upgraded to september 2022 security patch.

There’s a lot to look forward to in Android 12. It brings a refreshed UI with a Material You-based Color Palette feature, a new widget picker UI, new widgets, better animations and transitions. Moreover, it includes Grammarly-integrated Samsung Keyboard, built-in editing tools, privacy indicators, improved Privacy Dashboard, RAM Plus, and Google Duo Live Sharing.

If you are a Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 user in Europe, update your phone to Android 12 by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping on Download and install. The update may take a few days to reach all users. Hence, if you don’t see a new update, check again in a few days.
