Both the Nexus 6P and 5x were released last year by Google.The Google Nexus 6P made by Huawei is the current flagship from google while the Nexus 5x made by LG is the younger brother of the former.Both the devices currently running on latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and Google also has released upcoming Android Nougat 7.0 developer preview for these devices.

But like all devices, sometimes these two google phones also give some hard time to their users.Sometimes they won’t turn on which is known as black screen problem and sometimes they won’t charge.Here we are going to discuss some of the common reason which creates these types of issues and how to fix those.

Nexus 6P and Nexus 5x Not Charging Possible Reasons

There are may many reasons but some are very common.Here we are going to take a look which are common things that cause the device not charging issue.Some of those are mentioned below:

  • USB port is not clean
  • USB cable is bricked
  • USB port is bricked
  • Battery is damaged
  • Software issue (After upgrading)

Above are some of the reasons why Google Nexus 5x or 6P not charging.Now we are going to share some simple steps to fix these issue

1)Try Cleaning the USB Port:

Sometimes there is dust inside the USB port, so try cleaning the USB port which will fix the issue if this is the reason behind the problem

 

2)Try different cables:

If above method didn’t work try changing the USB cable.Try different USB-C cable to charge your device.Sometimes defected USB cable causes these problems so changing the Cable will fix the issue

 

3)Charge your device via Computer

Try to plug your device into my computer using the included USB 3.0 to USB type C adapter. It should charge the device and start it up.

Note: If above didn’t work, Go into bios. Stay there, plug it in.(Make sure phone is turned off and windows is booting up)

4)Do Factory Reset

Sometimes users installed some defective apps which create some serious issue and if that is the case then try to do a factory reset to fix the issue.

 

5)Reflash the Stock ROM (Downgrade)

Sometimes this problem is caused by the software update, if that is the case than simply downgrade the device to the previous firmware which will fix Nexus 6P and Nexus 5x Not Charging Problem.

6)take your device to the service center

you have tried all the above methods but none of them worked? if that is the case then take your device to the nearest service center for fixing Nexus 6P and Nexus 5x Not Charging Problem.
