Apple starts rolling out the iOS 16.0.1 update for the latest iPhone 14 Series

Apple has officially started rolling out the second iOS update today and it comes in the form of the iOS 16.0.1 update for iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This will be the first ever update for the iPhone 14 Series and come with numerous bug fixes and general improvements. Moreover, the update is aimed at improving the stability of the iPhone 14 performance.

Changelog for the iOS 16.0.1 update

The update comes with fixes for numerous issues including –

  • Fixed the issue with activation and migration during setup
  • Fixed the problem where enterprise single sign-on apps were failing to authenticate
  • Fixed the issue where photos were appearing soft when zooming in landscape mode on iPhone 14 Pro Max

Earlier, Apple released the iOS 16.1 developer beta with many new changes like the battery percentage for the remaining iPhones. However, the iOS 16.0.1 update is available to the public. If you’ve already got your iPhone 14, you will be receiving the update on your device.

The shipping date for the iPhone 14 is September 16 but several users have already started receiving the device. As it’s a new iPhone, there are high chances that there will be a few issues. This update will fix those known issues. It can be easily identified as it comes with the build number 20A371.

The iOS 16.0.1 update will be available to the public but it is only for iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

If you’ve already got your iPhone 14, you can check for the update by heading over to Settings -> General -> Software Update. Once you see the update, you should tap on Download and Install and then wait for the installation to begin. Remember to take a full backup of your important data before updating and charge your iPhone to at least 60% or more.
